Timothy J. Harris, Partner

 

Timothy J. Harris is a litigation attorney with over thirty years of experience. He represents clients in civil matters throughout sixteen counties of northern and central Illinois. His clients include utility companies, major insurance companies, municipalities, transportation companies, construction companies, manufacturers, and service providers. His career emphasis is in litigation defense, where he has tried cases in the areas of fires and explosions, transportation liability, premises liability, construction liability, and medical malpractice liability. For the past eighteen years, Tim has practiced extensively within the natural gas industry.

Tim graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.A. 1984) and DePaul University College of Law (J.D. 1988). He started his legal career at Pretzel & Stouffer, Chtd. where he focused on general insurance defense litigation. Later, Tim expanded his practice to include medical malpractice, transportation liability and construction liability defense in his work at Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey. He then worked for ten years as a senior litigation attorney for St. Paul/Travelers Insurance Companies where he litigated large loss catastrophic injury claims. In 2003, he opened the Law Offices of Timothy J. Harris and Associates. He became a partner in Donnelly, Lipinski and Harris in 2008.
